Meet God's Vessel 
April B. Ruffin is
an Anointed, Blessed, Radiant woman who has been chosen by God to speak
deliverance to His people. Because of the call upon her life, Min.
Ruffin has a sincere desire to live her life as an example of God’s
saving Grace. Her daily prayer is for God to anoint her for what He has
called her to do and that is to preach the gospel to the poor; heal the
brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives; recover sight to the
blind, set at liberty the oppressed and proclaim the year of the Lord’s
favor (Luke 4:18).When
Min. Ruffin preaches, the Anointing of God operates through her with
power and produces miraculous life transformation. She believes
wholeheartedly in Romans 12:2 that says “And do not be conformed to
this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” and Eph
4:23 that says, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind." And that
you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and
true holiness. Experiences in her life along with the renewing of her
mind has cultivated her passion to encourage others to believe in the
transforming power of the Holy Ghost and act upon the fact that when
you change your mind your life will change.
One
of her favorite scriptures is John 15:16 that says, “You did not choose
Me, but I chose you and ordained you that you should go and bear fruit,
and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in
My name He may give you.” The blessings of God rest heavily upon Min.
Ruffin, for He has blessed her to bear fruit in many different aspects.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management
which enabled her to be employed by major corporations where she has
managed multiple aspects of Finance. Due to her zeal for kingdom
building, she resigned from the corporate arena to serve as Executive
Administrator for First Paradise Baptist Church of Chicago. After her
tenure, the Lord continued to bless her to bear more fruit by becoming
the proprietor of Applied Business Resources, Inc. where she
successfully assists many faith-based and other non-profit
organizations in obtaining their 501c3 status, grant writing,
organizational development, financial structure, just to name a few.
Min. Ruffin says quite often God never ceases to amaze her, because He
continues to bless her to bear fruit with the implementation of
Transformed Life Radio Ministry which she hosted on a trial basis but
will be returning to the air waves this Fall. Another amazement which
has propelled her faith is the completion of Living Word School of
Ministry which culminated June 2009 as well as the matriculation to
McCormick Theological Seminary where she will obtain the degree of
Master of Divinity.
Min.
Ruffin is blessed to live a life that radiates with the fruit of the
Spirit. Due to the Power of God radiating through her souls have been saved, healing and deliverance has taken place,
and lives have been transformed through her efforts. Min. Ruffin has orchestrated, coordinated,
and participated in numerous conferences and workshops. Her home church is First Paradise where she served on the Ministerial Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, she served as Praise and Worship
Leader, Christian Education Director, and President of the Women’s Ministry. She is currently a member of Living Word Christian Center where she serves on the Baptism Ministry and Pastoral Care Ministry.

Ruffin’s character and accomplishment have been greatly influenced from
the wonderful family God placed her in. Her parents, Dea. & Sis.
Ruffin, as well as her three siblings have all provided support,
encouragement, direction and prayer to enable her to fulfill her
God-ordained destiny.
